Where are you located?

We are located at 1194 Scott Street in Conyers, Georgia.

Directions from Interstate 20 East - Take Interstate 20 East to Exit 82. Exit the Interstate at Exit 82. Take a left. Go across the Interstate bridge. The first intersection you come to will be Dogwood Drive. Take a left on Dogwood Drive. Follow the access road until you come to John Miles Chevrolet. We are directly behind John Miles Chevrolet in a two story brick building off Scott Street which is directly next to the Chevrolet dealership.

What are your hours of operation?

The police department is available for service 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Our administrative office, where accident reports and incident reports are issued, is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. This office is closed on all major holidays.

How much do copies of reports cost?

You may obtain copies of accident reports at the Police Department for a fee of $5.00 and copies of incident reports are $.10/page. You may obtain accident reports online by visiting www.buycrash.com. Incident reports are not available online and must be obtained at our office.

What information do I need to get my car out of impound?

You will need a copy of your driver's license, proof of ownership and proof of insurance. If your vehicle is being held due to criminal charges or seizure, your vehicle will not be released. In this situation, you will need to contact the officer handling your case. Contact our Records division to find out the name of the officer.

What type of payments do you accept?

Cash, money orders, bank certified checks and credit cards (Visa or MasterCard). We do not accept personal checks. A 3% processing fee will apply to all debit and credit card transactions.

What information do you need when applying for an alcoholic beverage server's permit?

Apply for an alcoholic beverage server's permit at the Conyers Police Department, 1194 Scott Street. You will need your driver's license or valid ID and $35 which may be paid by cash, money order, bank certified check or credit card (Visa or MasterCard). You will be charged a 3% processing fee when using a debit or credit card. We accept personal checks.

Can I report a crime to you that did not occur in Conyers?

No. You must report crimes that occurred outside the city limits of Conyers to the police jurisdiction where the crime originally occurred.
