The Conyers City Council announced on August 1 its intention to increase the 2016 property taxes it will levy this year by 21.50 percentage over the rollback millage rate. The Conyers City Council has determined the property tax increase is necessary to fund public safety needs of the Conyers Police Department. All concerned citizens are invited to the public hearings on this tax increase to be held in the city manager's office at Conyers City Hall located at 1184 Scott Street, Conyers, Georgia at the following dates and times:
Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at 11 a.m.
Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at 11 a.m.
Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at 6:15 p.m.
A called meeting on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 will be held in the city manager's office at Conyers City Hall at 6:30 p.m. for the purpose of setting the millage rate.
