Conyers Mayor Vince Evans will participate with leaders from the county, school system, hospital and others from the Chamber of Commerce's business membership to field questions from residents of the community at Front Porch Discussions, a free event on Thursday, January 26 at Rockdale Career Academy at 6:00 p.m.
Front Porch Discussions is an opportunity for local leaders to collaborate and have meaningful discussions about Conyers/Rockdale's shared vision and message on everything from economic development to quality of life. The event on January 26 will allow citizens to have conversation and participate in a Q&A period with Rockdale County Chairman Oz Nesbitt, Conyers Mayor Vince Evans, Rockdale County Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Terry Oats, Piedmont Rockdale Hospital CEO Blake Watts, and Conyers-Rockdale Economic Development Council Executive Director Kevin Hanna.
The event is free and the public is encouraged to attend. Rockdale Career Academy is located at 1064 Culpepper Drive, SW, Conyers, GA 30094.
"Front Porch Discussions takes us back to the heart of what this community is about: the people," said Mayor Evans. "I'm excited the city is collaborating with our community partners to remind citizens why Conyers and Rockdale County is such a special place to live, while being mindful of those who may be looking for a place to live or work or call it home one day."
Front Porch Discussions is a program organized by Conyers-Rockdale Chamber Board Chair Darlene Hotchkiss. For more information, call 770-483-7049 or contact Katy Zahradnik at katy@conyers-rockdale.com.
