On Saturday, June 13th, come enjoy the 6th Annual Monastery 5K-Run / Walk through the beautiful Monastery grounds! Start time 8:30AM. Interested participants are welcome to join the monks for their daily morning Mass at 7:00 AM just before the race.

Bring the whole family and join the run or fun-walk on an amazing 3.1 mile trail route through the serene monastery landscape. Visit one of Georgia's most beautiful and treasured greenspace that is now part of the Arabia Mountain National Heritage Area.

After the race, take the family to stroll the Rockdale River Trail. This scenic hike and bike trail that starts at the monastery entrance, goes through the monastery woodlands to the 500-foot bridge that spans over the rushing South River waters. You can explore the completed Arabia Mountain National Heritage Area:  Over 30 miles of scenic trails that are open to hickers and bikers including this trailhead at the Monastery of the Holy Spirit. This interactive PDF will lead to additional information. This is a welcome addition to what the monastery has to offer in sharing our vast greenspace and serene wooded landscape.

Then take the family to visit and enjoy the Monastic Heritage Center, which features a display of the history of monasticism. You will also enjoy shopping in the gift shop and Bonsai store as well as a stroll through the Bonsai garden.
