As Muhammad Ali heads to Atlanta for his comeback fight in 1970, two young lovers are engaged to marry, although interracial marriage is risky in the South. Facing the cultural and political turmoil of the era that divided families and communities, they each struggle, like Ali, to be true to oneself and still meet others’ expectations.
