Olde Town Christmas Party: Friday, December 1
Kick off the holiday season at home with the Olde Town Christmas Party on Friday, December 1st from 5-8 p.m.! In addition to the lure of specialty stores like those found in Olde Town Conyers being open for those in search of that perfect gift, the city of Conyers provides complimentary hayrides, visits and photos with Santa and a Secret Santa Shop for kids interested in doing some shopping for their friends and loved ones. Ice skating, provided by Ice Days, in the Olde Town Pavilion at 949 S. Main Street will also be open for ice skaters all ages.
Storytelling, caroling, roasting marshmallows and a free kids workshop sponsored by The Home Depot are also parts of the Christmas Party that will be memorable for the whole family.
Thousands of twinkling lights will once again illuminate the Pavilion, the Lewis Vaughn Botanical Garden and the thoroughfare of Green Street, bordering Olde Town during the 2017 holiday season. For more questions regarding the Olde Town Christmas Party, contact the Conyers Welcome Center at 770-602-2606.
Conyers Christmas Parade: Saturday, December 2
The Annual Conyers Christmas Parade takes place on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. The parade begins at Rockdale County High School and ends at the Rockdale County Courthouse for the annual tree lighting ceremony in the Rockdale Auditorium sponsored by Rockdale County Government. If you would like to participate in this year’s upcoming Conyers Christmas Parade, be sure to get your applications in as soon as possible to ensure your organization a spot in our community parade. The theme for the 2017 parade is "My Favorite Christmas Movie," so participants are encouraged to decorate their floats and entries to reflect a Christmas movie.
